You can request expense reimbursements from your host. For example, you can ask to be reimbursed if you paid for a ridesharing service to pick up the car because your host was unable to deliver it as planned. Costs incurred as a normal part of a trip (fuel, cleaning, tickets and tolls) are your responsibility and not eligible for reimbursement.
How to request a host reimbursement
To request a reimbursement from your host, follow these steps:
- Contact your host in Turo message to ask if they’ll agree to reimburse you for your expenses.
- Get their agreement in writing in Turo messaging.
- Once you have their OK, contact customer support. You can chat with a Billing agent. Once on that page, a chat window will open up for you..
- If the agreement is in place in Turo messaging, Turo will use the host’s funds to reimburse you for the agreed-upon amount.
What if my host denies my request?
If your host doesn’t agree to reimburse you, we’ll be unable to help. Both you and your host must come to an agreement in Turo messaging.
