Why set a custom price
To prevent guests from “window shopping” and to protect your time, we require guests to submit a trip request in order to message you. In their message, a guest may ask you to lower your rate for their trip. Whether you agree to or not is entirely up to you. You may decide it’s worth it in order to win a new guest. Or, you may want to reward a loyal guest.
How to set a custom price
You can set a custom price for a specific day or range of days. If you’re using Automatic Pricing, a custom price will override this feature. If you’re not using Automatic Pricing, a custom price will override your default daily price. To set a custom price, open the Host dropdown menu, choose Vehicles, and “Edit listing” for the vehicle listing you want to modify. Tap on the calendar day(s) you want to change, edit the price, and save. The custom price will display as bold on your calendar,
If you want to give a particular guest a custom price for their trip, notify them via Turo messaging. Let them know you’re going to decline or cancel the trip so you can set a custom price. Confirm they’ll rebook at the new, lower price. If they agree, decline or cancel the initial booking. Set a custom price for the days they want to travel, and tell them to submit a new booking request to get the lower price. Keep in mind if you’ve canceled the trip, your guest must rebook within 24 hours for you to avoid a cancellation fee. If you set a 3+, 7+, or 30+ day discount for that guest, remove or change your rate back as soon as the guest rebooks so other guests don't book at that discounted price.
