Car sharing agreement
We’ll create a car sharing agreement for each US trip you book. The agreement, in combination with the Trip Details, outlines the terms and conditions you and your host agree to follow.
You can view this agreement as soon as you submit your trip request. Once the host accepts your request, we’ll update the agreement with the car’s license plate number and VIN (if available). If you add any additional drivers to the trip, we’ll update the agreement to include their information, too.
To see the car sharing agreement for your trip:
- Log on to your account.
- Tap the Trips tab.
- Choose the Booked tab to find and open the trip.
- View the agreement.
- On the app: Tap “Vehicle documents.”
- On the web: Under Protection, tap “View car sharing agreement.”
Incident information card
We email all hosts who select a Turo protection plan a copy of an Incident Information Card. We ask them to keep this card in their vehicle in case their guests ever need it.
Once you book your trip, you can access a PDF of this card. It’s available in the unlikely event you’re in an accident and need to show proof of vehicle coverage.
To download an Incident Information card:
- Log on to your account.
- Tap the Trips tab.
- Choose the Booked or History tab to find and open the trip.
- View the card.
- On the app: Tap “Vehicle documents.”
- On the web: Under Protection, tap “View incident info card (PDF).”
If you’ve booked a trip with a Commercial Host, they should provide their own insurance card.
Trip receipt
To see an up-to-date receipt of your trips costs:
- Log on to your account.
- Tap the Trips tab.
- Choose the Booked or History tab to find and open the trip.
- View the receipt.
- On the app: Tap “Trip receipt.”
- On the web: Under Total Cost, tap “View detailed receipt”
If you’ve submitted a request to your host to change your trip in any way, you’ll see a note that your request is pending. If it’s accepted, we’ll update the receipt to reflect the changed cost of the trip.
The receipt you see immediately after your trip ends may not be the final version. We may update it if you’re issued any refunds or charged any fees.
