Turo Valet availability
Turo Valet is available near SFO and LAX between 6 am to 10 pm every day. If you’ve chosen airport delivery with the Turo Valet option for your trip, you must pick up and drop off your car during the lot’s business hours. If you’re unable to do so, contact your host to make new arrangements.
What should I expect when I pick up the car?
The Valet attendant will confirm your trip details and ask to see a valid driver’s license. Turo does not accept a learner’s permit, state/country ID, international driving permit, or passport in lieu of a valid driver’s license. The attendant will not release the car to anyone who doesn’t have a valid driver’s license, nor will they give the car to anyone other than the person who booked the trip.
The Valet attendant documents the car’s condition by taking photos, recording video, and noting the fuel level and mileage. The attendant will document the car again when you return it to the lot. We’ll email you a copy of the pre- and post-trip reports.
You’ll want to walk around the car yourself and take additional photos to protect yourself in case of a damage claim. Let the attendant know if they missed any issues. They’ll help you address them with the host and ensure you’re not held responsible.
Turo Valet uses the third-party service Record360 to have you sign off on the vehicle documentation, verify your Driver’s License, and to agree to Turo’s Terms of Service. Information is securely stored in the Record360 database and never shared externally.
If you’ve booked a car with a Commercial Host, they may require additional fees, a security deposit, or a signed contract. These items should be handled directly with the host before the trip begins. Valet attendants cannot help with these issues.
What if the car isn’t at the lot at the start of my trip?
Confirm with your host directly that the car will be at the lot in time for the start of your trip. If you’re unable to reach the host or if the car isn’t at the lot when you arrive, our Valet attendant will try to contact them as well. If the host doesn’t get in touch with you or the attendant within 30 minutes of the trip start, you may cancel the trip and receive a full refund. Our attendant will try to provide alternative solutions for you, including finding and booking another Turo vehicle.
What if there’s an issue with the car when I pick it up?
The Valet attendant will notify the host of any issues with the car prior to the start of your trip so they have a chance to correct them. We’ll let you know if the host is unable to correct the issue and help you with an alternative solution if possible.
