When to submit a supplement
It’s not unusual that once repairs begin, the shop may find additional damages that weren’t visible in the original damage photos. Also, the price of parts or the amount of labor time might change. We can address these issues if your repair shop files a supplement. Only repair shops for hosts in the US and Canada are eligible to submit a supplement.
Your shop must submit a supplement to Turo within 45 days of the date we issued the initial payment. We don’t accept supplements from hosts, only from the shop making the repairs. If a shop submits a supplement after the 45th day, it’s not eligible for payment. The one exception is if the shop is in the process of repairing the original damage and the 45 days expired during that time.
How to submit a supplement
Your shop can file a supplement online or call 312-906-7462 and reference the claim number on the estimate. Your shop and Turo’s third-party appraiser will agree on a repair price and revise the estimate if required. We’ll email you a copy of the updated estimate and instructions for receiving supplemental payment.
Supplemental payments for “resolve independently” claims
Turo can’t provide you with supplemental payments if you chose to work out a damage claim directly with your guest and/or their insurance carrier. Once you accept payment directly from a guest, you’re no longer eligible to submit a claim to your protection plan. You can read more about resolve independently claims.
