To ensure the safety and reliability of the marketplace, all vehicles must meet our vehicle maintenance requirements. If Turo becomes aware of a vehicle quality, safety, or maintenance issue, we may temporarily restrict your vehicle listing, and you as a host will be asked to get a mechanic’s report using the Turo Vehicle Inspection Form (attached below).
We also advise that you get a mechanical and safety inspection at least once per year to ensure your car is safe to operate.
If your vehicle has been restricted by Turo, just follow these simple steps to get your vehicle back on the road!
Once we receive the form, a member of the Turo team will review your documentation and reach out to you with the next steps. Please make sure to include the shop’s contact information when you submit your form so we can speak with the inspector directly if we have any questions.
Failure to maintain your car may make your car subject to removal from the marketplace. You are responsible for all costs resulting from failing to properly maintain your car. If a maintenance issue arises during a guest’s trip on your vehicle, you will be charged a minimum fine of $100. You can learn more about our fees and fines here. You can also read more about vehicle and material misrepresentation in this article and this article, as well, to help you maintain your vehicle’s high standards.
