Sometimes breakdowns, accidents, or vandalism may occur on a Turo trip, but Turo will work with our roadside partner, Allianz Global Assistance (AWP), to make sure you and your vehicle are protected. If a covered incident -- tire punctures, key issues (stolen, lost or locked in the vehicle), wrong fuel type, breakdown, accident, or vandalism -- takes place on a Turo trip outside your local area, Turo and AWP will help you get the vehicle back in your possession.
If a breakdown occurs while a guest is using your car, report the incident at support.turo.com. If immediate roadside is required, your guest may contact +49 (0)89 244414108. If there is an accident or vandalism occurs while a guest is using your car, report the damage as soon as possible (definitely within 24 hours from the incident) using our resolution center.
Provided Mobility Services:
After the incident is reported, the assigned AWP will work with you to resolve the issue. After the vehicle is repaired, AWP will provide reimbursement for covered incurred costs to reclaim your vehicle. The Mobility Protection plan covers the costs of collecting the repaired vehicle up to:
- Up to €150 for a single taxi ride.
- Up to €70 for a shuttle ride to a train station AND a train ticket (2nd class). An economy airplane ticket can be purchased if the train ride is longer than 6 hours.
- If you have selected Turo’s Standard plan, we can provide you with up to €40 per day for your transportation needs, for up to 10 days (capping at €400) in Turo travel credit. This credit will expire if not used within 30 days of the date it was issued.
For trips that begin in Germany, Turo’s Mobility Protection Service Center is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in Germany, Belgium, France (with the exception of the French Overseas Territories), Luxembourg, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal, Monaco, Andorra, Denmark, Austria, Poland, Slovenia and the Czech Republic. There is no coverage for trips that begin outside of Germany.
This coverage does not apply if you (the host) violate Turo’s Terms of Service or cause damage, whether intentionally or unintentionally. In addition, Mobility Protection does not provide protection if the damage is due to civil commotions, civil unrest, acts of war, earthquakes, nuclear energy or attacks, or weather-related incidents (flood, storms, etc).
