How long do I have to respond to trip requests?
Trip requests and trip changes can be made months, weeks, days, hours, and now minutes in advance. The amount of time you as a host have to respond to trip requests varies depending upon how far in advance you receive those requests.
Here are the basics:
For trip requests or changes made greater than 10 hours in advance, the approval window is eight hours from when the request is made. If you as the host don’t accept or decline the request within eight hours, the pending request expires and the trip is not booked or changed.
For trip requests or changes made between four hours or 10 hours before a trip start, the request will expire two hours before the trip would start (if the request is for a trip change, the request would expire two hours before the earlier of the two times, whether original or edited).
For trip requests or changes made within one to four hours of a trip start, the request will expire in half of the lead time. For example, a request for a trip to start in three hours has a window of an hour and a half for you to approve it.
Finally, if a change request is made with a lead time of less than an hour, the request will expire at the end of that time. (New trips cannot be requested with less than an hour’s notice.)
