What discounts can I offer?
You can offer an early bird discount for trips booked 7+ days in advance and discounts for trips booked for or extended for 3+, 7+, and 30+ consecutive days. Turo opts all vehicle listings into offering a 5% early bird discount, but you can up it to 10% or remove it at any time. To set, change, or remove a discount, navigate to the “Pricing & discounts” tab in your vehicle’s listing. Keep in mind a 3+ day discount must be lower than a 7+ day discount, and a 7+ day discount must be lower than a 30+ day discount.
How are discounts applied?
When a guest books or extends a trip, we’ll automatically apply any relevant discounts to the trip price. The trip price is the sum of the daily price for each day that your vehicle is booked. Discounts apply to each day of a trip, including any days you’ve set with a custom price. If a booked or extended trip qualifies for multiple discounts, we’ll combine them. For example, If a guest booked with a discount and they shorten the trip below the discount threshold, they may owe an additional amount. If so, we’ll charge them the balance due and add the amount to your host earnings.
Can I give individual discounts to certain guests?
You can encourage guests to rebook with you by sending them a 5%, 10%, or 15% discount code after they complete a trip in one of your vehicles. Discount codes are one-time use only, non-transferrable, and valid for a trip in any of your listed vehicles up to 90 days after the guest receives it. The discount percentage is applied to the next booked trip’s price, up to a maximum of $100* off. An individual discount code can be combined with early bird and trip duration discounts. We’ll give you the option to send a discount code when we prompt you to rate your guest’s trip.
