Electric vehicles (EVs) are more than welcome in the Turo marketplace. EVs provide travelers with an eco-friendly alternative to driving a gas-powered vehicle.
To successfully rent out your electric vehicle, plan to do the following:
First, clearly and explicitly note in your listing that your vehicle is electric. Sometimes people choose an electric vehicle without realizing that they’ve done so. To avoid this confusion and decrease the chances that a trip will be cancelled, include the information in the written description of your car. Also, choose “Electric Vehicle” from the drop-down menu of vehicle features when you create the listing for your vehicle.
Once a guest books your vehicle, message them to let them know the duration of your vehicle’s charge.
Provide your guest with tips and insights about how to recharge your vehicle. Let them know how and where they can find charging stations and provide them with instructions about how to charge the car.
Your electric vehicle must have at least an 80% charge before you hand it off to the traveler.
