Person-to-person vehicle hosts in the United States, the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Quebec, Germany, and the United Kingdom are required to have a valid vehicle registration, personal insurance, and a Turo incident information card. We email the card to all hosts who select a Turo protection plan when they complete their listing. If you’re a person-to-person host but did not receive the card, you can download one here. Be sure to keep the card in your car. Let your guests know where they can find it should they be asked to show an insurance card to a police officer or to another motorist in the event of a vehicle collision.
If you’re a Commercial Host -- that is, a host who provides their own commercial rental liability insurance to their guests -- you will not receive a Turo incident information card. Do not download nor place a Turo incident information card in your vehicle if you haven’t selected a Turo protection plan or if a Turo protection plan is not available in your region.
