To see your past earnings, log in to your account. Click on Dashboard and select “Earnings” in the drop-down menu. We’ll show you every transaction and amount we’ve paid you since you started booking your vehicle(s) through Turo. You can download this information as a CSV file.
In the US
We send eligible hosts a 1099-K form, which shows the gross amount of reportable transactions for a calendar year. You should qualify for a 1099-K from Turo if, in the prior calendar year, you report gross payments that are equal to or exceed $20,000 (or $600 in Vermont and Massachusetts) and more than 200 gross transactions.
If you’re eligible, we’ll email you in December to complete a W-9 form via a safe, online, document-signing service that protects your information. Please never mail, fax, or email this personal information to Turo. Once we receive your information, we’ll send you an online 1099-K form to submit for your income taxes.
We provide this statement for informational purposes only. It’s not intended to constitute tax advice. Please consult a tax professional for help determining tax treatment for your carsharing activities and for reporting your income, including whether you can take deductions against the income you earn on Turo (some vehicle expenses, depreciation, etc) and relevant documentation you should retain.
Outside the US
Hosts outside the US are responsible for knowing and following the applicable tax laws in their country, region, and/or province. Turo is unable to provide tax advice or assistance.
