Is my vehicle eligible to be listed on Turo?
All vehicles must meet Turo’s list of universal requirements. They must also meet specific requirements set for the US, Canada, the UK, and for Commercial Hosts. Certain vehicle types can’t be listed on our platform. Turo reserves the right to modify its eligibility requirements at any time for any reason. Get more information about how to list your vehicle.
The following is an illustrative list of vehicles that aren’t eligible for Turo, with some exceptions for Commercial Hosts. Ineligible vehicles include: box trucks; certain makes/models; construction equipment; farm equipment; GEM or similar vehicles not designed for highway use; limousines; motorcycles; passenger vans that seat more than eight people; recreational vehicles; vehicles requiring a commercial license to operate legally on public roads; vehicles designed primarily for off-road use.
Note: You can list a vehicle that has temporary or similar plates in all regions where such plates are issued. You cannot list a vehicle that displays dealer or trader plates in any region.

Turo doesn’t permit UK hosts who are using a Turo protection plan to list any Tesla model vehicles, specialty vehicles, or classic cars. However, Commercial Hosts may do so. A UK specialty car must be at least 15 years old and have a market value of more than £15,000.
Vehicle listing requirements for Commercial Hosts
All Commercial Host vehicles must have a clean (e.g. not a “branded” or “salvage”) title if applicable. In some countries, this may be referred to as not being “written off.” They must meet all legal requirements of the country in which they’re located. Since their vehicles aren’t covered through Turo, Commercial Hosts aren’t subject to the value limitation for their listings. Commercial Hosts can switch to a protection plan available through Turo. If they do, their vehicles must meet Turo’s requirements in the country in which they’re listed at the time they select the new protection plan. They must do so to be eligible for coverage.
