Does the car sharing legislation in California, Washington, and Oregon affect me?

Before Turo started, there was no need for a law that specifically addressed car sharing. California, Washington, and Oregon passed legislation to specifically address the topic, and provide an important consumer protection: in those states, your insurance company cannot cancel or not renew your policy simply because you rent out your car through a personal vehicle sharing program. Please note that these laws protect consumers,  not commercial rental car companies who use the Turo marketplace.
