Discover cars available for delivery
- Filter your search results by “Delivery.”
- Choose a vehicle.
- Tap “Pickup and return location” near the top of the screen to see a list of delivery locations and costs.
- Some hosts offer delivery to more than one location. Choose the correct location for your trip.
Review check-in method
Each delivery location displays one of the check-in methods listed below. It tells you what to expect when you pick up and return the car.
- Your host or co-host will meet you to provide keys.
- You’ll check yourself in with a lockbox.
- Your host will unlock the car remotely for you.
- Your host will coordinate check-in details for your trip.
Paying for delivery
You can add delivery to a trip at any time. If you choose delivery when you book your trip, we’ll charge you for it as part of your total trip cost. If you add delivery after you book, we’ll charge you then. The delivery fee covers the cost of both drop off and pickup.
Coordinating with your host
Check for delivery instructions that your host may have included in their vehicle listing. If you’re meeting in person, use Turo messaging to confirm how, where, and when you’ll meet. Hosts aren't permitted to ask guests for a ride home after delivering their vehicle. Contact us if your host makes such a request.
Using location sharing
You can coordinate delivery with your host by using Turo’s Location Sharing feature in the app. Location Sharing is active:
- 2 hours before and 1 hour after trip start
- 1 hour before and 2 hours after trip end
Paid parking policy
Your host should notify you if you’re picking up the car from a lot or garage that requires payment to enter or exit. You’re not responsible for any cost incurred to pick up or return the car unless you’ve agreed to it in Turo messaging.
If you must pay a parking fee you didn’t agree to, we’ll make sure you’re reimbursed. Take a photo of the receipt and email it to us at support.turo.com.
Changing delivery location
You can request to change your delivery location before your trip starts. The new location must be one where the host already offers delivery. Or, it must be within their custom delivery radius.
You’re not able to set one location for pickup and a different location for drop off when you book. However, you can request to change the drop off location once your trip is booked or underway.
To request a delivery location change, submit a trip modification request. Your host has 8 hours (or less, if your trip starts sooner than that) to approve or decline the request. If they don’t respond or they decline the request, you must pickup and/or drop off the car at the original delivery location.
Adjusting the delivery cost
A change to the delivery location may change the delivery fee you’re charged. That’s true if the price for the new location is different than that for the original. If you change the drop off location only, we’ll calculate your new delivery fee like this:
- 50% of the delivery fee for the original location AND
- 50% of the delivery fee for the new location
Let’s say you book a trip and choose airport delivery for $50. Later you decide you want to pick up the car at the airport but drop it off at a hotel where the host offers delivery for $60. The price at the new drop off location is different from that of the original location. As a result, the delivery fee you’ll be charged will be different. The fee is 50% of the original delivery location ($25) and 50% of the new one ($30). The new delivery fee is $55. Since you’ve already paid the original delivery fee of $50, we’ll charge you just $5 more.
Starting the trip
The trip begins when you receive the keys or unlock a remote vehicle. It ends when you return the car. Take a photo of the fuel level and odometer reading when the trip starts and when it ends. The fuel used and mileage driven by your host to deliver the car is their responsibility, not yours.
