Turo recommends that you take good photos before your trip starts, and after it ends, regardless of whether you notice damage, to eliminate uncertainty about the state of the car. Using the guided handoff process in the Turo app is the easiest way to document the state of the car before you start the trip. We’ll walk you through taking photos of any damage and make sure you’re set to get started with your trip.

If there is damage at the end of the trip that hasn’t been documented as pre-existing, you may be held responsible for it.
