We provide access to a national roadside assistance dispatch service in the United States, Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom in case of emergencies or issues with the car.
Guests who’ve selected a vehicle that’s covered under one of Turo’s protection plans can be connected free of charge with a dispatcher who’ll send out a service provider to a vehicle in need 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
For guests who are traveling in a vehicle listed by a Commercial Host (e.g. a vehicle that is not covered by a Turo protection plan), any available roadside assistance will be provided by that vehicle owner and/or their insurance provider. Direct any questions about roadside assistance coverage to the host.
Will I be charged for this service?
While Turo covers the dispatch fee, the party (host or guest) who caused the need for service will be responsible for fees associated with the actual services provided (towing, locksmith, battery jump, etc). Hosts may be responsible if it’s determined that service was required because of a mechanical breakdown or an improperly maintained vehicle.
The tow company will not charge at the time of tow for tows shorter than 15 miles in the United States, 50 kilometres in Canada, or to the nearest repair shop in Germany and the United Kingdom.
