About airport delivery agreements in Florida
Turo has a delivery agreement with Tampa International Airport (TPA) that lets you deliver and pick up cars in a way that’s efficient, safe, and airport-approved. Follow the delivery and pick up instructions below. Failure to follow these guidelines will put you at risk of incurring citations, fines, and other penalties from the airport. These include being prevented from making future deliveries to this airport. You could also jeopardize Turo’s ongoing work with TPA to secure a permanent permit for delivery. To make delivery as smooth and safe as possible, share this guest-specific information with guests who book delivery at TPA.
Tampa International Airport
Make all vehicle drop offs and pickups in the Economy Parking Garage or the Remote Curb.
Economy Parking Garage Pickup/Drop off
Follow these directions to the Economy Parking Garage. From George J Bean Parkway, use the left lane to exit toward the Rental Car Center and Economy Parking lot. Follow the signs until you reach the parking garage. Pull a ticket and leave it in your car for the guest. Drive up to Level 5 and park in one of the 5 Turo-designated parking spaces in the southwest corner of the garage. See the map below for their exact location.
Enter the garage no more than 4 hours before the trip start. Use the “Location sharing” feature in the Turo app to coordinate delivery timing with your guest. You can open “Location sharing” up to 2 hours before the trip start time and up to 1 hour before the trip end time.
Conduct contactless check-in/checkout only if your car has remote unlocking technology. If your car isn’t enabled with remote unlocking technology, you must meet your guest in person. Don’t “hide” or otherwise leave a key for your guest on site.
Use the parking ticket your guest left you to pick up your car and exit the Economy Parking Garage. If you exit the garage less than 15 minutes after your guest pulled the ticket, the machine won’t register a fee and you don't need to verify the trip with an attendant. If you exit after 15 minutes, show an attendant the reservation ID of the trip in your app or the email confirmation to verify it was a Turo trip. The attendant won’t charge you a parking fee as long as your car was part of an active reservation and parked in a Turo-designated space. If the attendant does charge you for parking, save the receipt and request reimbursement via a chat session with a Turo Billing agent.
Remote Curb Pickup/Drop off
Follow these instructions to conduct a vehicle exchange at the Remote Curb. Arrive at 5403 Airport Service Road, adjacent to the TPA Rental Car Center. Bear right into the designated “Customer Drop-off” area, which will lead you to the Remote Curb. Hand off and retrieve the vehicle curbside and in person. TPA does not permit contactless check-in/checkout at this spot, so don’t leave the vehicle unattended. Use the “Location sharing” feature in the Turo app to coordinate delivery timing with your guest.
