About delivery agreements in Florida
Turo has a delivery agreement with Tampa International Airport (TPA) that lets you pick up and drop off cars in a way that’s efficient, safe, and airport-approved. Plan to follow the instructions below and message your host with any questions. Failure to follow these guidelines jeopardizes Turo’s ongoing work with TPA to secure a permanent permit for delivery. If you choose delivery to TPA, Turo will charge you a 6.5% fee on the gross transaction amount, and we’ll remit that fee in its entirety to the airport.
St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport
Short Term Parking pickup/drop-off
Exit the airport terminal and use the crosswalk to reach the Short Term Parking lot. See the map below for the exact location. Contact your host to ask where they parked the car.
Use the parking ticket your host left you to exit the lot. Turo won’t reimburse you for parking at PIE.
Follow these directions to return the car at the Short Term Parking lot. From I-275, take Exit 31 at FL-688 West/Ulmerton Road. Make a slight right turn toward FL-686 West/Largo/Clearwater. Continue to FL-686 West/Roosevelt Boulevard, then turn right on Airport Parkway. Keep left and follow the signs for Short Term Parking. See the map below for the exact location. When you enter the lot, pull a ticket and leave it in your car for your host. Let your host know where you parked the car.
Conduct contactless checkout only if the car has remote unlocking technology. If the car isn’t enabled with remote unlocking technology, you must meet your host in person in the parking lot. Don’t “hide” or otherwise leave a key for your host on site.

Make all vehicle drop-offs and pickups in the Economy Parking Garage or at the Remote Curb
Economy Parking Garage pickup/drop-off
Follow these directions to the Economy Parking Garage. Take the Sky Connect train located on the Boarding Level of the Main Terminal. When you reach the garage, take the elevator to Level 5. Pick up your vehicle from one of the five Turo-designated parking spaces in the southwest corner of the garage. See the map below for their exact location.
Use the parking ticket your host left you to exit the Economy Parking Garage. If you exit less than 15 minutes after your host pulled the ticket, the machine won’t register a fee, and you don't need to verify the trip with an attendant. If you exit after 15 minutes, show an attendant the reservation ID of the trip in your app or the email confirmation to verify it’s a Turo trip. The attendant won’t charge you a parking fee as long as your car is part of an active reservation and parked in a Turo-designated space. If the attendant does charge you for parking, save the receipt and request reimbursement via a chat session with a Turo Billing agent.
Return the car at the Economy Parking Garage. From George J Bean Parkway, use the left lane to exit toward the Rental Car Center and Economy Parking Garage. Follow the signs until you reach the parking garage. Pull a ticket and leave it in the car for your host. Drive up to Level 5 and park in one of the five Turo-designated parking spaces in the southwest corner of the garage. Take the elevator to Level 1, head to the Sky Connect station, and take the train back to the Main Terminal.
Remote Curb pickup/drop-off
Follow these instructions to conduct a vehicle exchange at the Remote Curb. Take the Sky Connect train located on the Boarding Level of the Main Terminal. Get off at the TPA Rental Car Center, which is the second stop after the Economy Parking Garage. The Remote Curb is outside and adjacent to the Rental Car Center. You must retrieve the vehicle curbside and in person. TPA does not permit contactless check-in/checkout at this spot.
Return the car at the Remote Curb. Arrive at 5403 Airport Service Road, adjacent to the TPA Rental Car Center. Bear right into the designated “Customer Drop-off” area that will lead you back to the Remote Curb where you originally picked up the car. Hand off the vehicle curbside and in person. TPA does not permit contactless checkout at this spot, so don’t leave the vehicle unattended. Once you return the keys to the host, take the Sky Connect train from the Rental Center station to the Main Terminal.
