When you list your car on Turo, we’ll automatically set a cost for when a guest goes over the allotted miles or kilometres for their trip. The automatic price per mile/kilometre is based on your car’s value, so it’s optimized to compensate you with the most appropriate fee. If you’d prefer to set your own pricing for excess distance, you can do that too, but the maximum price you can set must be the greater of either 2x our recommended price for your vehicle or $0.75.* We cap this maximum at $3.00. Specialty and classic vehicles may charge any amount up to $3.00 per mile/kilometre for excess distance.
To set the price for additional mileage fees, go to your car’s details page when logged in on Turo. You’ll see options there to make adjustments to your car’s availability and rental information, including mileage overage fees. You might also consider offering unlimited mileage to your guest as an Extra. This option is available to add to your listing, and the price is entirely customizable by you.
